Health Minister Rudolf Anschober, who faces harsh criticism from the VdF, announces a decision on a possible continuation of the Bundesliga for next week.
One is in a constructive dialogue with soccer representatives, but as with all other initial steps, health protection takes priority.
Despite the good development, one should not be neglected, Anschober said.
“We want to avoid a second wave of disease with all our might. Whether the results of the Bundesliga and other team sports will also be decided and how they will be resolved in the coming days. I hope for a good solution,” Anschober stressed. Issued on Saturday.

Like the other relaxation of the crown measures, athletes would also be accompanied by concrete security measures against the spread and constant daily monitoring of the national development of the crown virus.
“This is a prerequisite for Austria to continue on its way through the crisis,” said Anschober, who also announced a general decision on team sports for next week.
