Vienna (OTS) – For two days, the more than 100 test roads of the Interior Ministry have been open to the 39,154 employees of the Interior Department. On December 7 and 8, 2020, 11,610 employees of the interior department were voluntarily tested for an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, that is, 29.7 percent.
Interior Minister Karl Nehammer praised the “great turnout” in the crown tests. “I am proud that nearly 30 percent of all employees voluntarily took the test after just two days. That shows that police officers and administrative staff are setting a good example,” Nehammer said.
The Home Secretary was also impressed by the way the tests had been carried out so far: “The heads of the Interior Ministry and state police departments are working very well with the Austrian Red Cross to ensure that more than 100 test roads run smoothly, “Nehammer said.
