The bloody act on New Year’s Eve was only known on Saturday morning. The victim was seriously injured. The alleged perpetrator later notified the police himself.
The incident occurred on Thursday night at the apartment of a 23-year-old. Together with a 30-year-old Afghan living near Steyr and a 34-year-old Turk from the Kirchdorf an der Krems district, they used speed and cannabis. Around 10 p.m., the 23-year-old should have had enough of his guests, he asked his two friends to leave the apartment.
When the men did not immediately comply with the request, the young Steyrer was given a blank pistol and a kitchen knife about 12 inches long. Suddenly, he stabbed the Turk several times and seriously wounded him. According to a police spokesman, the wounds are on the abdomen and upper body, but he could not name the exact number of stitches. So far, the 23-year-old has not been noticed.
After the bloody act, the suspect himself called the emergency services and was arrested. They take him to Garsten Prison. The spokesperson justified the fact that the incident was only made public about a day and a half after authorization had only now been given.
