Danish inventor Peter Madsen confessed to the murder of journalist Kim Wall on his submarine. In April 2018, he was sentenced to “life imprisonment”.

In a documentary broadcast on Wednesday, Madsen answered “yes” over the phone when asked if he had killed the young woman in August 2017. “There is only one culprit and that is me,” he added after denying the crime throughout the trial. .

In August 2017, inventor Peter Madsen (48) lured journalist Kim Wall (30) to his self-made submarine, tied her up, murdered her and dismembered her.

At 8:15 pm, Wall sent his last text message. The next morning, her boyfriend reported the journalist missing. Soon after, the submarine appeared and immediately sank. Madsen had sunk it on purpose.

He was arrested that same day. Although he claimed to have dropped Wall in the harbor the night before. The police found traces of blood on his jumpsuit!

Aboard the luxury submarine, investigators discovered a pair of Wall’s boxers and socks. The young woman, however, remained missing, until on August 21 a walker found Wall’s torso on the shore. Swedish water search dogs found the remaining parts of the body in the following months.


Submarine killer Madsen and the dead journalist

In court, Madsen alleged that he dismembered Kim Wall after an accident because he wanted to get the body off the ship and supposedly save his family. He provided various versions of the course of the accident. First, the deceased allegedly fell. He then claimed that he had suffocated.

But: forensics proved that Wall was brutally murdered. They handcuffed her and then stabbed her to death before Madsen cut off her head.
