At 4.30 p.m., the federal government will present the new measures to contain the corona pandemic.
What was long treated as the “last step” will get serious on Saturday in Austria. At 4.30 pm Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler, Health Minister Rudolf Anschober and Interior Minister Karl Nehammer appear in front of the public and present the new measures.

A draft of the new ordinance has been in circulation since Friday night. This includes the following points:
- Curfew between 8 pm and 6 am
- Close to catering business and hotel – delivery and takeaway possible (not during curfew)
- The events are prohibited
- Fitness studios, swimming pools, etc. must be closed.
- Leisure facilities must be closed
The new regulation should apply until the end of November.
