The Berlin police do not accept the administrative court’s decision to allow the demonstration against crown policy. He filed a complaint with the Higher Administrative Court (OVG) on Friday afternoon, as a court spokesperson said.
The police motive will be presented until 6.30 pm, he said. Then the show organizers will have another opportunity to make a short statement. The OVG is expected to announce its decision Friday night.
In the event that the OVG confirms the lifting of the ban on demonstrations and thus agrees with the organizers, this decision will be final. Then the police would no longer have the opportunity to appeal.
If, on the other hand, the OVG reversed the decision of the first instance and agreed that the police were right with its prohibition, those who notified the demonstration could appeal at short notice to the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe as the third and last instance.
The police ban order for the demonstration was overturned by the administrative court on Friday afternoon. Saturday’s event could take place in conditions of protection against infection, he said.
The 711 lateral thinking initiative from Stuttgart had recorded the rally with 22,000 participants on Straße des 17. Juni near the Brandenburg Gate.
