Less than two days after a 13-year-old boy was stabbed in Berlin, a 41-year-old man turned himself in to the police. The man, accompanied by a lawyer, denounced the homicide squad, as announced by the prosecutor and a police spokesman.

“So far there is no evidence of the cause of the dispute, especially no evidence of a possible racist motive,” the prosecutor said on Twitter. The suspect was questioned as a suspect and said he was a Turkish citizen. “The investigation is ongoing, no further details can be published at the moment.”

The 13-year-old who was killed belonged to a group of seven, mainly children and teenagers, who were away from home in Berlin-Mitte on Saturday night around 10:40 p.m. According to eyewitness reports, there was an argument between the group and a man in a tunnel in Monbijoupark in front of the Museum Island. The man is said to have stabbed the boy and a 22-year-old man with a knife.

The 13-year-old Syrian died despite resuscitation attempts at the scene. The 22-year-old was taken to the hospital. The perpetrator fled. The police were looking for him. A police spokesman said “numerous leads” had been received in the morning. A man in his 45s was wanted with a “bald head” and a “gray-speckled beard,” police said on Twitter.

The boy’s body was subjected to an autopsy Sunday, according to prosecutors. The results were not published. On Sunday and Monday there were candles and flowers by the underpass.
