The Bundesliga has prepared for possible scenarios in the face of the crown crisis. However, in order to achieve the greatest possible legal certainty and clarity in times of the Covid-19 pandemic, the first and second division clubs have determined how the championships will be evaluated in the event of an early termination. To determine who has been promoted or demoted, the entire season (30 rounds) in the 2nd division and the basic and final rounds in the Bundesliga must be completed in its entirety, according to one broadcast.
If one of the two divisions has to be canceled prematurely, there is no athletic promotion or relegation. The decision on promotion and relegation between the 2nd division and the regional leagues is also the responsibility of the Presidium ÖFB.
