In addition to the Arena Nova and the casemates, there will be a third test site in the city from Friday with the old building “Carnaby” in Zehnergürtel. Opening hours are also being extended. As of Thursday, tests can be held every day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the two locations above. This will also be possible in the old “Carnaby” building from Friday.
“I said from the outset that an expansion of testing capabilities is the basic requirement for the implementation of the issued output restrictions. In no time, we have now managed to run 15,000 instead of 2,000 tests a day as of Friday and You can increase the number of test lanes from 16 to 40. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Red Cross and the Armed Forces, as well as the University of Applied Sciences; only with their help is it possible to achieve full expansion of testing capabilities so quickly, ”said Mayor Klaus Schneeberger. .
Assistance from the armed forces
The extension of test times and the new test location also require a corresponding increase in staff. Wiener Neustadt has requested assistance from the Austrian Armed Forces. The armed forces will take care of the three stationary test roads, while the Red Cross will redirect the mobile test roads at the train station when it leaves the city.

- Neudörfler Straße (“Park & Ride” behind the OMV petrol station): from Friday (March 12) every day from 7 am to 8 pm.
- Customs office car park (Neunkirchner Straße): from Friday (March 12) every day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- “Nord” shopping center car park (Wiener Straße): from Friday (March 12) every day from 7 am to 8 pm.
- Puchberger Straße / Straßenmeisterei (in addition to the existing PCR test station): from Friday (March 12) every day from 7 am to 8 pm
- Central Station (in front of the main entrance): from Friday (March 12) every day from 7 am to 8 pm
