Former world and Olympic champion Anna Veith has surprisingly announced her retirement.

Veith, born Fenninger and married to Manuel Veith since April 2016, is one of the most successful alpine skiers in recent years. The Salzburg woman is an Olympic champion (Super G 2014), triple world champion (Super combination 2011, Super-G and giant slalom 2015), twice winner of the World Cup (2013/14 and 2014/15) and three times the Austrian Athlete of the Year (2013, 2014, 2015).
