In the last 24 hours, 609 new corona infections were recorded in Austria. Most of them are in Vienna, followed by Upper Austria and Tyrol.
From Monday to Tuesday, a total of 609 new corona infections were recorded in Austria. A good half of them are in Vienna, Upper Austria scratching the hundredth mark in second place.
More than 44,000 corona positive results in total
So far, 44,041 positive results have been obtained in Austria. As of today (September 29, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 796 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 34,916 have recovered. Currently 491 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 90 of them are in intensive care units.
New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:
- Burgenland: 23
- Carinthia: 14
- Lower Austria: 45
- Upper Austria: 92
- Salzburg: 7
- Steiermark: 33
- Tyrol: 68
- Vorarlberg: 19
- Vienna: 308
