Alexander Zverev faces world number one Novak Djokovic (Serbia), Daniil Medvedev (Russia / No. 4) and Argentine Diego Schwartzman (No. 9) in the ATP Finals in the Tokyo group in 1970.
In the season finale that begins Sunday, 13-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal (Spain / No. 2), US Open winner Dominic Thiem (Austria / No. 3), defending champion will compete in the second group London 2020 Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece / No. 6) and Russian Andrej Rublev (No. 8).
World number seven Zverev (Hamburg) had won the tournament in 2018 and thus celebrated the biggest success of his career. Record winner Roger Federer (6 titles) is absent from London as he ended his season in the summer after two knee surgeries. This year the season finale of the eight best professionals of the year will take place for the last time at the London O2 Arena, starting next year it will be held in Turin.
