Chelsea FC suffered a bitter away loss to Arsenal FC on Boxing Day in the English Premier League.

The Gunners won 3-1 on Saturday night thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette (35th minute / penalty), Granit Xhaka (44th) and Bukayo Saka (56th) for their fifth win of the season, but they are 14 later in the lower middle field of the table. However, after eight games without winning in the League and Cup, they got another three. The Blues, for whom Tammy Abraham (86) scored and Jorginho missed a penalty in injury time, fell to sixth place after their fourth loss and are now six points behind leaders Liverpool FC.
In the 0-0 draw between Fulham FC and Ralph Hasenhüttls FC Southampton, the video assistant denied the Austrian team two goals. Aston Villa won 3-0 (1-0) against Crystal Palace.
Previously, the main Christmas game ended without a winner. Record champions Manchester United were not more than 2-2 at Leicester City on the traditional Boxing Day on the second holiday despite two leaders, and with 27 points they are still third behind the 2016 soccer champions (28 ). Champion Liverpool is only in action on Sunday.
