The Neos are apparently the SPÖ’s third youth organization, with no pink print in the government deal.
Vienna (OTS) – “This is a red-red coalition of discouragement,” explains state administrator Bernadette Arnoldner, who was unanimously elected councilor yesterday at the state party presidium. “In this new role, I will primarily perform my control function. Since the government’s red-rose agreement sadly does not provide for major reforms and solutions on the key issues of education, integration, security, transparency, environment and culture, everything seems to remain the same. I will actively participate here! ”
For the ÖVP city councilor, it appears that the Neos were not present at the coalition negotiations. “There is no pink calligraphy with the demands promised by the Neos during the election campaign. The Neos are obviously the third SPÖ youth organization, so the Viennese have a red-red coalition, ”said Arnoldner. In the field of education and integration, the councilor calls, among other things, for German courses for parents, a social pedagogue for each school, a clear commitment to German support classes and more institutes in Vienna. “Comrade Wiederkehr now speaks in favor of the comprehensive school, apparently he has handed over all values and convictions to the SPÖ wardrobe. Unfortunately, the goal is a red and pink uniformity in the education sector, ”said Arnoldner.
“Integration in Vienna must not only be promoted, it must also finally be demanded. This is the only way to stop the influx of people into our social system! “There must be more security in Grätzln when it comes to the welfare and health of people, emphasizes Arnoldner:” Many people no longer feel safe in their Grätzl, here you need clear skills and someone who feels really responsible and takes in seriously the concerns of people. Too often, the Viennese are left alone with their fears. ”
The Neos have also broken their electoral promises when it comes to transparency. Bernadette Arnoldner recalls that party subsidies will not be reduced and that more and more auditing powers are still lacking for the city’s audit office. “On October 11 we achieved the best result in 33 years and more than double our participation in the votes. That is a clear mandate from the Viennese to incorporate our turquoise policy, a clear mandate for a more bourgeois center-right policy with decency. We will continue to defend our turquoise themes and stay true to our line! “
