The capitals of Vienna only got one point against Dornbirn.

The Vienna Capitals scored just one point in their second of three home games in the ICE ice hockey league en suite.
Two days after the 1: 2 loss against Villacher SV, the Viennese were again defeated 3: 4 against the Dornbirn Bulldogs in a firefight. With that, they again missed the Leader HCB Südtirol.
The Bozeners have one more accountant on the account. In the second match on the Friday before Christmas, Salzburg beat VSV 3-1.

In Vienna Alex Wall brought in the outnumbered hosts up front (11th), but Matthew Mackenzie in the power play (16th) and Emilio Romig (19th) gave Vorarlberg the lead before the first break. The next double belonged to the caps, Marco Richter and Philippe Lakos scored in 34 seconds (30th). A power play hit by Andrew Yogan (32nd) certainly led the game to extra time and ultimately to the penalty shoot-out. Yogan also provided the decisive goal for Dornbirn.
At Villach, VSV seemed to continue the victory in the Capitals under the leadership of Jerry Pollastrone (12th), but that was it for Carinthians. The weakened Salzburg side did not reach their goals until the second half of the match, thanks to Mario Huber (33rd), Justin Schütz (49th) and Florian Baltram (59th). “I am very proud of this character’s victory,” said Salzburg coach Matt McIlvane. His team is fifth, but they still have games up their sleeve.
