Former Austrian junior player and former Bosnian player Anel Hadzic (31) has signed an end-of-season contract with an option for one more year after several months without a club at second-division Wacker Innsbruck. The Tyrolean announced on Saturday.
The 2014 World Cup participant played at Fehervar in Hungary until the summer, before that he was active for Videoton and Eskisehirspor (TUR). In Austria, the defensive midfielder played for Ried (Cup 2011) and Sturm Graz (until 2016). “Anel has already gained a lot of experience with more than 200 matches in the Austrian Bundesliga and appearances in the Bosnian national team (14, note). With this experience he should take on a leadership role in the team and especially help our young players”, Wacker sporting director Alfred Hörtnagl was quoted as saying.
