Altach with a tie at the start of the season – Sport VOL.AT –

It starts again, with the home game against European Cup participant TSV Hartberg, CASHPOINT SCR Altach kicked off the new season of the typical Bundesliga. And finally the spectators were allowed to be present again at the Schnabelholz in a competitive game.

Manager Alex Pastoor sent in a starting lineup with no new signings, while manager relied on Daniel Nussbaumer in the middle of the storm. Chinedu Obasi, who was signed yesterday, was not yet eligible to play, so the 34-year-old will likely be allowed to intervene for the first time in the Cup match in Gurten.

The SCRA tried to take command from the beginning and developed not only visual advantages, but without becoming an obligation. In wonderful weather, it was almost 20 minutes until the first big opportunity, but this was offered by the guests from eastern Styria. Tadic finished off a free kick from 25 meters directly on the casing of Martin Kobras, which together with the crossbar avoided the deficit.

The Rheindörflers found their first notable opportunity in the 27th minute. A high ball from Manuel Thurnwald reached Manfred Fischer, whose header was cleared for a corner by goalkeeper Swete.

But seven minutes before the break, the fans in the CASHPOINT Arena were able to cheer for the first time. After Hartberger turned the ball over, Meilinger passed the ball to Nussbaumer, who elegantly lifted Swete, who had drifted far from his goal, to give the home team a 1-0 lead. With this score, the sides were switched.

After the break, a little over six minutes had been completed and the Altachers narrowly missed the second goal. After a combination down the left, Meilinger was taken out through the middle. His shot was deflected by an opposing defender and the resulting arc lamp landed just inches from the post.

A little later, the Shepherd-Elf had to accept the compensation. Hartberg forward Tadic was able to accept the ball into the Altach penalty area and plunged it into the net behind the cobras from the corner. The SCRA attempted to respond after an hour, but a long-range shot from Samuel Oum Gouet missed its target by a very slim margin.

A short time later, Pastoor changed for the first time, with Philipp Netzer joining Alain Wiss. The 74th minute was shown on the stadium clock, as the SCRA was again close to the first goal, a Dabanli header sadly only landed on the outer post.

After that the workday ended for Thurnwald and Meilinger as well, Anderson and Daniel Maderner came into play for them, so the newcomer from Amstetten celebrated his competitive debut. Rheindörfler’s offensive efforts went unrewarded in the finals, so in the end they were left 1: 1 and a points split early.
