The federal threats likely took place in Vienna between July 16 and 20.
The Viennese attacker apparently held a jihadist meeting with like-minded people from Germany and Switzerland in Vienna last summer. As is now known, in July it received visitors not only from Germany, but also from Switzerland. This meeting took place immediately before the attacker’s trip to Slovakia, where he wanted to buy ammunition for his assault rifle.
The two Swiss from the canton of Zurich, aged 18 and 24, were arrested after the attack in Vienna. In Germany, after the terrorist attack in Vienna, the house of five young people was searched, two of them were those who were in Vienna. The Interior Ministry confirmed that the German and Swiss jihadists were in Vienna at the same time, just before the trip to Slovakia, which took place on July 21. According to information from Germany, the meeting was observed by the BVT.
The perpetrators are likely to have been in Vienna between July 16 and 20. For his part, the 20-year-old murderer could also have traveled to Switzerland (“Die Presse” reported exclusively).
