To shorten the waiting time for corona tests in view of the increasing number of infections, the city of Vienna is introducing two new methods.
On Friday, the city of Vienna will present its new strategy for corona tests, with which the waiting time should be significantly reduced. In recent months there have been cases in the headlines, some of which had to wait up to two weeks for the test result. Now those negative reports should be a thing of the past.

Corona bike messengers
With the completely new test logistics we are talking about, bike messengers will apparently be used. They are supposed to deliver the gargle proof at the door in suspicious cases. Dr. Manuela Födinger is also currently working with her team on an even simpler corona test, which is specially designed for young children: the “lollipop test”. The first attempts in the city of Vienna are already underway.
