Alaba advisor accuses ‘Brazzo’ of lies

In the negotiation thriller from ÖFB star David Alaba and German record champion Bayern Munich, not a day goes by without fresh, sometimes miraculous donations. Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and coach Hansi Flick tried to lower the tension on Thursday. But that did not apply to sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, who accused Alaba’s advisor Pini Zahavi of “crazy things.”

Rummenigge called for an end to public debates on Alaba. “I really ask you to calm down now, keep the discussions internally,” the former pro said on “Bild live,” a powerful word. The last time there was excitement after the honorary president of Munich, Uli Hoeneß, violently attacked the defense advisor. “First of all, I really advise all parties not to comment further in public,” Rummenigge said.

Contract negotiations must be carried out “confidentially and discreetly,” the CEO warned. Alaba, who has become the head of defense, plays an “important and significant role” for Bayern. The 28-year-old Viennese’s contract expires at the end of the new season.

Successful trainer Flick also campaigned for both parties to “come closer and relax.” He praised Alaba as the “heart” of the team, which has become perhaps the best central defender of the moment. “I hope he continues to play for Bayern Munich,” said Flick.

Salihamidzic, for his part, reaffirmed Bavaria’s seemingly unchanging position in the negotiations. There is a “sporting and financial upper limit” in Robert Lewandowski and Manuel Neuer, the 43-year-old told the “kicker.” He does not believe that Alaba herself thinks that she is above the two companions.

Zahavi shoots back

Alaba Zahavi’s advisor, on the other hand, says Salihamidzic, thinks in other dimensions. “He can do that, but we will not follow him. We will not do any crazy things that he may know from other clubs,” emphasized the longtime Bayern player, again taking aim at the Israeli.

He, in turn, did not want to leave these statements unquestioned. “Mr. Salihamidzic has apparently forgotten who Robert Lewandowski’s advisor is,” Zahavi told sports broadcaster Sky. “I negotiated Robert’s contract last year and of course I know exactly what he deserves. What we ask of David is well below Robert’s salary.”

Therefore, the climate between the two parties remains tense. In any case, the saga continues to offer a multitude of topics to talk about for outsiders.
