Again negative record: 803 new infections in Vorarlberg – Coronavirus –

At midnight, 4,644 people from Vorarlberg are currently actively infected with the corona virus. On Thursday alone, 803 new infections were added – this is the highest number of new infections since the start of the pandemic. There were also three other deaths on Thursday.

Since the pandemic began in March, a total of 144,065 corona tests have been performed, of which 11,156 were positive.

Most of those actively infected are still in the Bregenz district (1650), followed by Dornbirn (1260), Feldkirch (1117) and Bludenz (584).

At the end of the community, there are more actively infected people in Dornbirn, Lustenau, Bregenz and Feldkirch. Only five of the 96 municipalities are free of the corona virus.

A total of 182 Covid patients are currently being treated at the hospital.

Of the 182 Covid patients, 38 must be cared for in the intensive care unit. In addition to the 38 intensive care patients from Covid, another 11 patients need intensive care. Of the 63 intensive care beds currently available, a total of 14 are still available to all patients.

According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg had the second worst value of all Austrian federal states for the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants on Thursday. With 742 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, the state was behind Upper Austria (796) and before Tyrol (691).

The Austrian average for the seven-day incidence was 532 on Thursday.

The four districts of Vorarlberg currently have an incidence of more than 590 in seven days. The Vorarlberg “hotspot” with an incidence of 894 is still the district of Dornbirn.
