The development of the last seven days: on Sunday 2,641 new infections and 58 deaths, on Saturday 3,241 new infections and 126 deaths, Friday 2,893 new infections and 126 deaths, Thursday 2,686 new infections and 107 deaths, Wednesday 2,932 new infections and 54 deaths, Tuesday 2,377 new infections and 105 deaths and on Monday 2,263 new infections and 57 deaths. That makes a total of 19,033 newly infected and 633 dead in Austria last week.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, 325,051 positive test results have so far been obtained in Austria. As of today (9:30 am), 4,530 people in Austria have died as a result of the virus and 284,174 have recovered. There are currently 3,479 people in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 594 of them are in intensive care units.
