A spectacular traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon in the district of Amstetten (Lower Austria).
In Bernhard (Neustadtl an der Donau community), a delivery van with two people left the road after a left turn for unknown reasons and rolled over several times on a steep meadow. Both inmates were able to get out of the car. However, they had to walk to the house next door (see photo gallery), which was approximately one kilometer from the accident site, to make the emergency call.
Car overturned several times
Both were treated by the neighbors of the house until the ambulance service arrived. After first aid, both people were taken to the hospital by the ambulance service. One of them was transferred to Amstetten by emergency helicopter with serious injuries.
After the police authorization, the crashed vehicle was recovered by alarmed firefighters.
