Police are looking for the victims of a man who is said to have committed several robberies and robberies in Lower Austria and Vienna.
Investigations against a 44-year-old Serb on suspicion of heroin trafficking and theft were carried out by officials from the LKA Niederösterreich, an area of investigation of the crime of addictive substances, together with officials from the Purkersdorf police station.
Together with the police officers of the task force to combat street crimes of the Lower Austrian State Criminal Investigation Office, the defendant was caught red-handed and arrested on 23 November in Purkersdorf for crimes contemplated in the Addictive substances law. The officers seized small amounts of heroin and cocaine, a small amount of four-digit cash, as well as a mitten and a gas pistol.
Two robberies in Vienna
During the investigation, the police were able to assign the suspect to two previously inexplicable shoplifting in Vienna.
On 16 November, he is said to have threatened a store clerk in Vienna’s 14th district with a firearm and forced her to open the safe. He is said to have tied the woman’s hands with bridles, stole an average four-digit euro amount and fled in an unknown direction.
Five days later, he is said to have threatened an apprentice and the manager of a store branch in Vienna’s 15th district with a pistol and forced them to open the safe. He stole a small amount of four-digit euros and fled in an unknown direction.
Furthermore, the defendant is said to have stolen an electric bicycle worth four digits of euros on November 18 from a parking lot in Purkersdorf. Purkersdorf Police Station officials arrested the bicycle in the 22nd district on November 23. The victim was able to identify the 44-year-old man as the suspect based on a photograph.
On November 20, he is said to have stolen a wallet, several documents and a car key from a construction container in Purkersdorf. With his driver’s license stolen, he is said to have booked a hotel room in Vienna.
The police recovered some of the documents stolen when he was arrested. When questioned, he only confessed to bicycle theft. He was taken to the Vienna-Josefstadt prison by order of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The Lower Austrian state police department released a photo of the defendant on Saturday, as there is suspicion that the 44-year-old may have committed more robberies, robberies and property crimes.
