A 77-year-old driver was killed in a traffic accident on the B17 near Teesdorf (Baden district) on Tuesday morning. According to police reports, an 83-year-old man and his wife, two years younger than him, were seriously injured.
Crash preceded by overtaking maneuvers
The 77-year-old woman had collided with her car during an overtaking maneuver with a truck driving alongside her in the fog and was then thrown into another tractor-trailer and a car.
The second car involved in the accident was driven by the 83-year-old man, his wife was also in the car. While the two people from the Baden district were being transported to the surrounding hospitals, the driver from the Wiener Neustadt district died on the spot. A total of five fire brigades participated in the rescue work.
