A young man from Linz found dead in the street with serious head injuries

A 20-year-old boy was found dead Sunday night in Linz with serious head injuries on the street. A 22-year-old driver saw the young man but said he drove home first and then came back on foot later. The prosecution ordered an autopsy, the 22-year-old’s car was seized, police said in a press release.

Drivers found dead

At Hugo-Wolf-Straße, the driver wants to avoid the lifeless body on the pavement. He then went to a party that was being held near the crash site, believing he might be a guest. Five celebrators went to the scene of the accident, provided first aid and called the rescue.

Since the location of the clues was unclear to investigators, the Linz police requested clues. Initially, it was assumed that there was a negligent homicide in traffic, but investigations in all directions, said police spokeswoman Heide Klopf.
