A respectable Tyrolean hit: WSG challenges LASK points! – Bundesliga

WSG Swarovski Tirol beat LASK points in the second round of the Tipico Bundesliga. The Tyrolese challenged the Linz athletes in a 1-1 draw. Baden-Frederiksen gave the locals an early lead (5th). Marko Raguz equalized with a penalty before the half-time whistle.

WSG Tirol takes the lead early – LASK returns well

Like a week ago against Ried, WSG Tirol got off to a perfect start and took the lead early. A missed headbutt from Trauner landed at the feet of Kelvin Yeboah, who had an eye for the detached Baden-Frederiksen. The Dane kept calm from close up and carefully shot the ball into the far corner: 1-0 (fifth). After that, however, the Upper Austrian guests took control of the game: Raguz stumbled on a good scoring opportunity before Rene Renner fired wide from a promising position (21st).

So LASK was probably lucky that a Trauner foul on Rogelj in the Linz area was not called, a very controversial scene. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for LASK after Hager’s foul on Raguz. The foul he competed himself and became a not undeserved compensation: 1: 1 (39th). Shortly before half-time, the guests had the advantage on their feet after Hussein Balic was able to run alone towards Oswald, but the Tyrolean goalkeeper reacted strongly and prevented the second goal that night (45th).

Marko Raguz misses the best chance of the second half

The Linz athletes were also the best team at the beginning of the second half, but there were no dangerous finishes at the beginning. Which was also due to the fact that the Tyrolese were very stable on defense. Furthermore, Thomas Silberberger’s protégés managed to force relay attacks over and over again. As the second half progressed, an even game developed in which both teams fought for every inch. There were still no concrete chances to score at the Tivoli Stadium in Tirol.

The only top chances in the second half were left by Marko Raguz, who volleyed after a strong cross from Renner, but Ferdinand Oswald reacted sensationally and held the point for WSG Tirol. This also ended the first duel between these two teams in the new season with a 1-1 draw. A year ago they parted ways in Pasching with the same result.
