On Friday afternoon, a 19-year-old attacked a security officer in Vienna-Favoriten with a Stanley knife.
According to police spokesman Markus Dittrich, the 47-year-old security guard was not injured because the blade was torn in the thick jacket. The young aggressor and his 56-year-old father were reported.
Dispute over car parking space: 19-year-old pulled out a Stanley knife
The attack took place around 1:15 pm on Triester Straße in Vienna-Favoriten. The 19-year-old had illegally parked a van. Security began arguing with him until the young man took the Stanley knife. After the attack failed, the attacker and his father got into their car and drove away. The knife remained at the scene.
The 19-year-old was promptly investigated and confessed during questioning. He said he couldn’t explain why he overreacted. He was probably helping his father too much, even though he had a job himself and therefore slept very little. In addition to the 19-year-old, his father was also reported. According to their own statements, security should guarantee a regular process in the area – there are many new buildings there – because many neighbors have stopped illegally to unload their furniture.
