ManCity extends lead with victory at Fulham

A week after the derby defeat and the end of the winning streak, Manchester City once again triumphed in the English Premier League. Against promoted Fulham threatened by relegation, the league leaders won 3-0 away from home thanks to three goals after the break. John Stones (47th), Gabriel Jesus (56th) and Sergio Agüero (60th / free kick) scored in the 13 minutes at the start of the second half.

Thanks to the victory, Manchester City extended their lead over city rivals Manchester United to 17 points. However, United, who will meet West Ham United at home on Sunday, have played two fewer games.

Chelsea nur 0: 0 at Leeds

Chelsea missed the jump to third place in the table. The Londoners had to settle for a 0-0 win at newly promoted Leeds United, but were able to record another partial success and are now unbeaten in 13 competitive matches. This also applies to “Blues” coach Thomas Tuchel after twelve games. Chelsea is still fourth.

At the bottom of the table, Sheffield United parted ways with coach Chris Wilder by mutual agreement the day before their visit to third Leicester City. The 53-year-old had been in office since 2016 and during that time led Sheffield to the best location in 28 years. With twelve points behind the salvation squares, the decline seems inevitable this year.
