Compared to the previous day, the number of people vaccinated increased by 51,465. However, this number could also contain late registrations and therefore does not reflect the number of people actually vaccinated in one day, the RKI described.
57,406 nursing home residents were among those vaccinated. 61,612 people received the vaccine for professional reasons, among them medical personnel with a very high risk of contagion, but also personal care for the elderly. A total of 31,250 people were vaccinated due to their old age (more than 80). Most of the vaccines have so far been administered in Bavaria (28,206), followed by North Rhine-Westphalia with 19,930.
