Holle thwarted the speed stars bill on Monday, but now it should work: the Bormio classic with the Super-G will open on Tuesday, followed by relegation on Wednesday. Dominik Paris shared a funny anecdote beforehand.

Due to heavy snowfall, the Super-G scheduled for Monday could not be held in Bormio. On Tuesday from 11.30 am the time will come: Then the stars of speed will face the fight against Stelvio. First in Super-G and then downhill on Wednesday. A ski ace is especially motivated.
For Dominik Paris, Bormio is something like his personal living room. He achieved 6 of his 18 World Cup victories on the icy, steep, and sometimes brutal Stelvio. This year one can be particularly excited about Paris: after the cruciate ligament rupture a year ago, it was not so old in the first races of the season in Val Gardena and Val d’Isère, also because these tracks are not necessarily suitable for he. The Stelvio was not yet one of his favorite tracks in Paris when he was young. “2008,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport“I first drove in Bormio, then as a pioneer. It was so difficult. The slope was icy, the skis rattled, it had rained and the thermometer read minus 10 degrees. At that point I said to myself, ‘Okay, just try to get there somehow.’ “The result? “On my first descent in Bormio, it was a training session, I lost 14 seconds in the fastest of the day.”
At the time, Paris could not have known that a true romance would emerge between him and Stelvio. The naked figures show how much this track suits him: he has completed a total of 8 downhill and super G races on the Stelvio, and has been crowned the winner 6 times.
