The 46-year-old succeeds Josef Moser on January 1
The Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor (AK) has a new director on January 1, 2021. Andrea Heimberger is the first woman in this position to succeed Josef Moser, who is retiring after 29 years in the Upper Chamber of Commerce Austria and 9 years as a director. The 46-year-old has been in charge of AK OÖ’s communication department since 2012, and has also been deputy director since 2015.
Heimberger wants to expand personal contact between the AK and its members, he said in a press release Monday. “The Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor must remain a key player and widely recognized contact in political discourse,” he demanded. AKOÖ President Johann Kalliauer looks forward to working with Heimberger. “She represents a lot of knowledge, courage and personal commitment and has already demonstrated vision and innovative strength as head of communications.”
Ernst Stummer, head of the legal protection department, and Gerda Landsiedl, who has been at AK OÖ since 1996, most recently as head of the finance and facilities management department, will be deputies to the new director.
