Carinthia was offered up to 975 doses of vaccination, contrary to Peter Kaiser’s presentation
Vienna (OTS) – “Unfortunately, Carinthia was the only Austrian federal state that did not participate in the launch of corona vaccines across Europe today and justified the non-participation by saying that only five to ten doses of vaccine were made available.” Contrary to the representation of the SPÖ Governor Peter Kaiser, Carinthia was offered up to 975 doses of vaccination in the first tranche. Therefore, it is completely incomprehensible to me why Peter Kaiser first rejects the vaccination doses offered to his federal state and then claims that they only offered him a few, ”said National Council member Peter Weidinger.
“Despite the high number of infections and also many deaths in Carinthian nursing homes and nursing homes, Peter Kaiser caused an unnecessary delay in the start of vaccination. A timely start of vaccination in Carinthia could have helped many people who wish to be vaccinated to fulfill their wish for an early vaccination. Carinthia’s non-involvement in the initiation of vaccination across Europe is not an act of European solidarity and destroys the possibility of vaccinating as many people as possible quickly and thus defeating the pandemic quickly, ”Weidinger concluded.
