The man walked into a restaurant in Gallneukirchen around 5 pm on St. Stephen’s Day and ordered something to go. He said he would pick up the order in about 20 minutes. When he returned, the man wanted to pay with an ATM card. But because the payment device was defective, he took cash from an ATM, police said. However, shortly after he finally paid and left the restaurant, he returned with a knife and threatened the cook with killing him. Then he fled in an unknown direction.
