Linz attic fire: all residents unharmed

After a house fire in Linz on the night of December 24, the police take on a fire. Details were not known at the time, investigations were still ongoing on Friday. Due to the fire and smoke, the house had to be evacuated. The Südtirolerstraße had to be completely closed for a long time for the fire service. At around 11:15 pm, the fire was finally extinguished by the emergency services of the Linz Hauptwache and Wache Nord fire departments and the Ebelsberg and Pichling volunteer fire departments.

Due to the development of smoke and the penetration of fire fighting water, some apartments are not habitable at the moment. Obtaining evidence has now been completed, the fire investigator is still conducting further investigations.

In order to put out the fire, the firefighters had to open the roof. All residents were able to get to safety.
