British model Stella Tennant has died at age 50, five days after her birthday, her family announced the day before Christmas. Stella Tennant was married to French photographer David Lasnet and their four children are Marcel, Cecily, Jasmine and Iris.
In the 90s, Stella Tennant was on various VOGUE covers and on all the major catwalks, for Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld, but also for Versace, Jean-Paul Gaultier, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen. His trademark was his androgynous look.
The family announcement reads: “It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Stella Tennant on December 22, 2020. Stella was a wonderful woman and an inspiration to all of us. We will miss her very much. Respecting privacy. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. “
Stella Tennant came from an aristocratic family, her father is the Duke of Devonshire. But he grew up on a sheep farm in Scotland. She also lived on the Scottish Borders with her husband and children.
She was committed to environmental issues and environmentally conscious fashion.
