In a Attack in a rural area of central France a gunman killed three policemen and wounded another officer. As the investigators announced, the 48-year-old man shot at officers on Wednesday night near the Saint-Just commune in the Puy-de-Dôme department. They wanted to come to the aid of a woman who had fled to the roof of a house. The man continues to be wanted while his wife has been brought to safety.
This was announced by the Clermont-Ferrand prosecutor. Police received a call regarding an alleged case of Domestic violence succeeded, whereupon two officers arrived at the house in a village near Saint-Just. One of them was reportedly shot dead by the 48-year-old man. The other was shot in the leg and rushed to hospital.
According to investigators, the attacker set his house on fire and fired at other officers who had arrived, killing two of them.
