Alta Badia Winner Ramon Zenhäusern he was the only one in the upper group, the Norwegian Sebastian Foss-Solevaag could hold a candle. The 29-year-old took a comfortable four tenths of a second lead from Alesund. Alex Vinatzer (ITA) is exactly half a second behind. Schwarz, the only Austrian representative in the first group of start numbers, is already 1.05 seconds behind. Michael Matt is 1.21 seconds behind. Matt started the race with the starting number 14: nobody was faster with such a high start number. Feller entered the race with number 13. “My birthday is October 13, maybe that will help,” Feller said in an interview with ORF before the race.

“It’s hot, they worked with water and salt, but it didn’t work as well as I expected,” says Schwarz, who didn’t have a good incline with start number seven. That got better later, for Feller or Matt, for example, because the hard part of the slope came to light under the wet layer of snow. Feller recognized a “forgiving snow” – “that suits me,” said the Tyrolean, who said he drove “a solid ride.”
