Weigelsdorf – Tesla thrown through the air: handlebar seriously injured

[ad_1]

On Sunday afternoon there was a serious traffic accident on the B60 at the entrance to the A3 in Weigelsdorf. A car driver was driving his Tesla from Pottendorf to Weigelsdorf. The vehicle has probably run off the road. The electric car was literally thrown into the air over the railing, crashing into a tree at a height of five meters, and then skidding about ten meters along the railing before coming to a stop on an embankment.

Red Cross District Operations Director Markus Pechhacker turned out to be one of the first helpers on the scene: “When we got to the crash site, we could see that there was only one person in the vehicle.” He and the paramedics immediately went to work at the same time. The Landegg Red Cross ambulance arrived to treat the seriously injured.

For the Weigelsdorf and Pottendorf fire brigades, who had been alerted to rescue people, the hydraulic rescue team rescue of the electric vehicle proved to be very difficult. The rescue teams together managed to free the driver from the vehicle. He was treated by the emergency doctor in the Christophorus 3 rescue helicopter and transferred by helicopter to the Wiener Neustadt hospital.

The Weigelsdorf fire department had to recover the crashed vehicle and clear the road. It is unclear how exactly the accident occurred. The B60 and the Pottendorf motorway exit were closed for two hours.
