Val Gardena – Austrian-German ski racer Romed Baumann placed eighth at the Alpine Ski World Cup in Val Gardena. In this way, he reached the limit of the World Cup. The experienced athlete lost a total of nine tenths of a second to Norwegian winner Aleksander Aamodt Kilde.

It was an anniversary race for Baumann. The 34-year-old has reached 300 races in his career. If I had been a little faster on the Ciaslat meadow, a key part of the Saslong, I could have made the podium.

But he’s satisfied and happy for the fresh day and the top 10 result. All in all, it was a great ending before Christmas in his eyes. Even his teammate Andreas Sander was happy with his consistent performance, even if it wasn’t enough to achieve a single-digit result in South Tyrol.
