On matchday 13 of the German Bundesliga, FC Bayern Munich is late for their winter king! The record champions beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 in the last minute of the main match.
The explosion at the BayArena begins with a bang: after a short corner kick, Leverkusen’s Nadiem Amiri crosses Patrick Schick into back space and the Czech hits the ball with a wonderful direct touch (14).
Bayern will then have to rejoin, but will draw before changing sides. Following a misunderstanding between Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky and Jonathan Tah, newly crowned world footballer Robert Lewandowski can jump in for his 16th goal of the season (43).
After the break, Bayern, where David Alaba plays in midfield, is on the trigger. Serge Gnabry fails with the best chance of 2: 1, but thanks to standout Hradecky, substitute super talent Jamal Musiala on pole (80th).
Towards the end, the Munich boys pull it all forward and are rewarded. Again it is Lewandowski who lets Bayern cheer after another error by Tah (90 + 3).
Julian Baumgartlinger and Aleksandar Dragovic play the full 90 minutes in Leverkusen again.
Bayern enter the short break as the winter king with 30 points, Leverkusen still just behind in second place with 28 points.
