Sebastian Kurz falls ill – cancels his appearance at ORF – politics

[ad_1]

Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (VP) had to cancel an appearance on ORF television that was scheduled for Tuesday. The Foreign Ministry confirms that he is ill.

“The interview with Chancellor Kurz was canceled on short notice,” ORF journalist Susanne Schnabl tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. “The Chancellor is sick (not Covid-19)”, continued the presenter of “Report”.

In “Today”-The Federal Chancellery confirmed this information. Sebastian Kurz is currently at home, curing his illness, which is not Corona.

ORF has to reprogram

The transmission is now reprogrammed in ORF. “We are still offering an exciting guest or even several today,” Schnabl promised on Twitter. “Why should this year end as planned and therefore today’s ORF report?” He wonders.

While Kurz is unable to attend any public appointments at this time, it was announced on Tuesday that the Christmas break will last longer this year, that is, until January 11. Before that (precisely on January 7 and 8), students and teachers must be tested for Covid-19 using an antigen test.

Chancellor absent from the Council of Ministers?

It is not yet known if Sebastian Kurz will participate in Wednesday’s Council of Ministers, which will only take place virtually due to the corona pandemic. In any case, the current situation in Austria will be intensively discussed there; I would also like to advise on any adjustments.
