Vienna (OTS) – From December 1, the city of Vienna offers the third crown test route at the Austria Center Vienna. After this was used primarily by people from critical infrastructure and nursing home visitors in the first two weeks, it is now open to everyone living or working in Vienna. After registering once, you can take a COVID19 rapid test there every day, even during the next vacation.
“We are pleased that the test roads are open to all Viennese from December 15th. We look forward to more interest, especially before Christmas and around the turn of the year, as many families and therefore people of all ages gather there ”, says Susanne Baumann-Söllner, director of the Austria Center Vienna.
Without symptoms on foot – with symptoms in the car
The rapid test route is open seven days a week from 7 am to 7 pm On the Bruno-Kreisky-Platz deck in front of the Austria Center Vienna, there are currently three test streets available for pedestrians without acute symptoms, and you can travel there by public transport (station U1 Kaisermühlen-VIC). As of the end of this week, the “pedestrian streets” will move to the room under the square due to the weather, for this an independent hygiene concept has been developed with minimal spaces, guidance and air exchange. There are no changes to the test procedure, the result is obtained after 15 minutes. People with symptoms are asked to arrive by car and use one of the four test lanes in the parking lot.

The free trial offer is available to everyone who lives or works in Vienna. The antigen test is carried out with a nasal swab and is valid for 24 hours; multiple tests are possible. To use the quick test, you need to register online one time in advance; people without Internet can do it from December 18. It can also be done by phone at 1450. From 18.12. It is also necessary to book an appointment online or through 1450. The test result is available on the site as a print and then as an SMS. Bring a face mask, photo ID (for example, passport, driver’s license or electronic photo card), social security number, and QR code received when registering (on smartphone or on paper) to the exam.
