After the first round of the giant slalom of the World Cup in Courchevel, three riders have already clearly distinguished themselves. No wonder they are Mikaela Shiffrin and the two Azzurre Marta Bassino and Federica Brignone.

They were already considered the great candidates for victory in the French Alps of Courchevel. On the hard track, they set the best times of the first race with start numbers 2, 3 and 4. Right in front is Mikaela Shiffrin with 7 hundredths of a second ahead of Bassino and 14 hundredths of a second over Brignone. Austrian Stefanie Brunner is already in fourth position, 0.7 seconds behind.
Due to the icy slope, Petra Vlhova and Alice Robinson have already suffered some major failures. Especially in the final part, some people misjudged themselves, a total of 6 of the first 30 starters have already been eliminated.
