Due to persistently high crown numbers, a strict lockdown will be imposed on Germany from Wednesday.
Germany is on the verge of a severe blockade. The federal and state governments will discuss stricter measures on Sunday. As the business magazine “Business Insider” reports, a strict lockdown will be applied starting Wednesday. The heads of state and the chancelleries of the Senate of the federal states agreed this with the chancellery on Saturday night.
“I must not waste any more time”
“We must not waste any more time. We need a total closure,” Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder said.
According to the report, private gatherings will be limited to two households and a maximum of five people. During the Christmas holidays, the upper limit will be increased to a maximum of ten people, although countries could draw narrower limits. So more than two households should be allowed, but only if they are direct relatives, as the report says. Also, there will be no face-to-face classes until January 10.
