There was no winner in the Premier League derby between record champion England Manchester United and local rival Manchester City. The two teams, who have not lived up to expectations so far this season, drew goalless and uneventful in front of the empty stands at Old Trafford on Saturday night.
The hosts, coached by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, had the best stage of the match shortly after the break. Marcus Rashford took the ball after a presentation by Bruno Fernandes, but Kyle Walker fouled in the box. The penalty decision for ManUnited was withdrawn after the video referee reviewed it because Rashford had previously been sidelined.
Chelsea then suffered a surprising setback at Everton after nine league games without a loss. The Blues lost 1-0 to the team of former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti. In front of 2,000 spectators at Goodison Park, Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the winning goal for the hosts with a penalty in the 22nd minute.
