In Lungau, the massive crown tests, which will take place nationwide these days and weeks, took place on Saturday, December 12. 16,165 people could have been tested in the Tamsweg district. According to the latest information and the first balance sheet of the State Media Center (LMZ), 4,630 of these “test persons” did so, which corresponds to a participation of 28.6 percent. 33 of those tested in Lungau tested positive for the coronavirus, although confirmation by a PCR test according to the LMZ is still pending. The authorities actively informed anyone who had a positive rapid test that the PCR test was being followed.
Tamsweg, district capital: 14 positives
Slightly less than half of those who tested positive for Corona’s mass test on Saturday in Lungau can be assigned to the district capital, as Tamsweg shows, from which we receive a current balance from the city council: In the commercial city of Tamsweg, they participated 1,205 people participated in the mass test (that is, a 25.86 percent participation). Of these, 14 people tested positive for the coronavirus.

Tests have already been carried out in the state of Salzburg, in addition to Lungau, in Pinzgau and in the city of Salzburg. According to the LMZ, 27,985 people (21.7 percent) participated in the city of Salzburg, and 75 rapid tests were positive. In Pinzgau, 19,751 people were tested, that is, 27.8 percent; in Pinzgau, 99 tested positive. The PCR test is still pending.
Tomorrow Sunday will follow the massive crown tests in Flachgau, Tennengau and Pongau. On Monday, December 14, tests will be carried out in nursing homes and facilities for people with disabilities, which according to the LMZ affects some 5,330 people in almost 100 homes.
