It is a video with long credits: The supposed intellectual author of Ibiza has been captured.
Julian H. was arrested in Germany after returning from a trip abroad. The Vienna prosecutor’s office, which is investigating H., is now waiting for the German authorities to hand her over; but that might still take some time.
The former “security advisor” with roots in Salzburg and a detective agency in Munich is said to have not only made the video with Heinz-Christian Strache and Johann Gudenus in Ibiza 2017.
He can also be seen as the decoy’s partner, a supposed oligarchic niece.
Delivery already requested
In the course of the investigation into the Ibiza Cause, which had overthrown the VP-FP government, H. went into hiding and was wanted for an international arrest warrant.
The Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed on Friday that Julian H. was detained by German police. A surrender has been requested from the Austrian authorities. The specific criminal charges were not mentioned because it is a closing act.

The “main actors” of the video reacted with satisfaction, who themselves employ the prosecutors with their statements in the video about covert party donations.
“I am happy about the arrest after such a long time and I look forward to a quick clarification and also the discovery of the other accomplices, clients and backers,” said Strache, who has since disappeared from high-level politics. Gudenus wants the detained person to receive “proper treatment”.
The leader of the blue parliamentary group in the investigation committee, Christian Hafenecker, awaits information on whether the video was offered to the parties; of course there have been confirmations for a long time, for example from the SPÖ.
Who were the customers?
Red MP Jan Krainer now wants to dedicate himself to “the supposed comparability of the turquoise blue federal government.” Neos MP Stephanie Krisper hopes to learn more about who commissioned the video.
“Much of what Strache announced in this video was implemented later. But not alone and in a much more professional way,” says the leader of the green parliamentary group on the committee, Nina Tomaselli.
Parliamentary group vice president Wolfgang Gerstl sees political responsibility somewhat differently. He says they are now getting close to “the FP and SP video machinations.”
