VSV have suffered the third consecutive defeat in the ICE Hockey League without their coach Rob Daum. With Villach 2: 5 against Fehervar, who is now third in the table, NHL loan Michael Raffl was not there Thursday. His home appearance is coming to an end after four games as the National Hockey League is aiming for a season to begin in mid-January.
In the second game of the day, Innsbruck beat Black Wings Linz at the end of the table 6: 3 and celebrated its first regular season home win since mid-October. The Tyrolese, eight classified, will play the next game at home against the insecure Villachers.
The “Adler” coached by Marco Pewal on an interim basis against Fehervar kept the game open until the last third, but a double hit and a poorly paid goal by the Hungarians 4-2 sealed the Carinthians’ thirteenth defeat in the 19th game it’s from the season.
