Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton will make his comeback in the Mercedes at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after recovering from the crown.
The 35-year-old Briton tested negative for Covid-19 multiple times after the quarantine expired and gave another negative test before entering the emirate.
This means that replacement George Russell, who had the best chance of winning over long distances at the Sakhir GP, is returning to the Williams race car. Jack Aitken, who represented Russell, is back in the background as a reserve driver.
Hamilton tested positive for the corona virus twice a week on Monday and then had to go into quarantine in Bahrain. Therefore, he missed the penultimate race of the World Championship last Sunday at Sakhir. Hamilton was already sure of being the new world champion.
